Negativity, doubt, and close mindedness are in opposition, and are stumbling blocks to radiant health.  If you want to grow, you have to change your mindset, and that is what we will cover here.

Saturation Point

You spent your whole life letting the winds of your situation push you to where you are today.  Now that you’ve chosen your destination and become a different person spiritually, it’s time to focus your mind on the most empowering, inspiring, and educational information to propel you to ultimate healing and radiant health.

When we know better, we do better.  Exposing yourself to new ideas, habits, and practices is key to being able to attract that one thing that will be the catalyst for your healing journey.  Always strive to learn more and educate yourself.

Let everything you watch, everything you read, everything you listen to help get you to your destination.  Saturate yourself with the tools that will empower you to heal.

What to Do: Find one show, one podcast, and one book this week that will be in alignment with who you are and where you’re going.  Once you find three new content creators, saturate yourself with their information.

Giving Yourself Time

If you’re like me, I was under the impression that it only takes 21-30 days to build a new habit.  This urban myth has perpetuated our lives, and chances are you have heard this line of thinking as well.

But it got me thinking- if it only takes 30 days to build a new habit, why, then, do some fail with trying a new diet for a month?  Turns out, it is because 30 days is not even halfway there!

Contrary to popular belief, discipline isn’t necessarily on an endless supply.  In order to achieve your health goals, you don’t need to be disciplined 24/7 every day for the rest of your life, but you do need some discipline long enough to build a sustainable habit, and on average that is 66 days.  So it is much less about acquiring more discipline, and more about getting in the habit of doing something.  You need just enough discipline to build a habit.

You do not need to be disciplined in everything you do either.  Achieving success is about doing the right thing, not about doing everything right.  So if you focus your discipline in the correct manner, you can achieve your goals.  It is about choosing the right habits to focus your discipline on.

What to Do:  Write down five potential goals you want to achieve, this week, this month, and within the next three months.  From there, pick the ones that are most feasible for you from each timeline.  Ideally, they will align as progression steps.   Then, begin to write down the action steps you need to take to reach those goals, and begin TAKING ACTION.

Your Language

You must change your language if you want to be a powerful being on this planet.  In nature, the strong survive.   You cannot give your power to your illness or other people who abuse it.

Everything you say and think has to be positive in nature.  Don’t give undue power to a label.  Don’t give your power away to doctors who diagnose you with a “disease.” Understand (literally-to stand under) your own power and ability to heal.

What to Do: Write down a list of disempowering words or phrases (like: I can’t, I never, I wish, I hope, I won’t, it’s too hard to, etc.) and do your best to remove them from your vocabulary. If it helps, burn this piece of paper after writing this down to let these negative connotations go.

Read

Reading good literature cannot be overstated.  It has been said that leaders are readers. You can tell how much somebody is into personally developing every aspect of themselves by taking a look at their personal library.

Within each book is the amalgamation of somebody’s life work. All of their thoughts, fears, wisdom, and insights can help you speed up your learning curve.

Imagine cutting out years of struggle and testing by reading one book that gave you one idea that helped you shave years off your personal journey. This is the power of reading. Make it a practice to always be reading something that challenges you and opens you up to new ideas.

What to Do: Buy (or check out) any book that speaks to you and make it your goal to read 5 pages a day. This should take you less than 10 minutes.  After a year (assuming the average book length is 250 pages) you will have read almost 7 and a half books!

“Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary.” – Jim Rohn

The Food You Eat

Everything you eat, drink, breathe, and put on your skin quite literally becomes you. For example, refined sugar creates microscopic tears of inflammation inside your arteries and as a result, your body creates cholesterol to patch up the damage, will give you the mental motivation to avoid such foods.

If we understand facts like how the simple act of drinking enough water each day can help prevent colon cancer or how fruits contain chemicals that also help prevent cancer, we can go a long way to building a multi-layered motivational approach to making the right food decisions.

The more you understand how the foods we eat impact your health, the more tools you have to help you become the best version of yourself!

What to Do: Pick one food that’s a staple in your meals and spend 5 minutes researching what compounds are in it and how they affect your body.  Then, pick another food and repeat the process.

I hope you found this a helpful start in this series!  Two more parts to come!

I’ll see you next week!
